PauseMind Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply to your use of PauseMind and related Present State Studio websites and materials. By using PauseMind, you agree to these Terms.

About PauseMind

PauseMind is a digital wellbeing utility that adds a deliberate pause before selected apps open. It is not a medical, mental health, emergency, parental-control, or guaranteed blocking service.

Essential apps and emergencies

Do not use PauseMind to protect apps or services you may need urgently, including emergency calling, messaging, medical, banking, authentication, transport, navigation, workplace, school, or safety-related apps. PauseMind is not designed for emergency or safety-critical use.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for choosing which apps to protect, keeping essential services accessible, granting or revoking Android permissions, and deciding whether to continue after a pause. Android, device manufacturers, battery settings, and operating system limits may affect monitoring behavior.

Purchases

If paid features are offered, purchases are processed by Google Play and may be subject to Google's payment, refund, and subscription policies. PauseMind does not process payment card details directly. A one-time purchase unlocks the supported PauseMind features associated with that Google Play purchase, subject to app availability, platform rules, and these Terms.

Intellectual property

PauseMind, Present State Studio, related names, logos, text, designs, interfaces, graphics, and other materials are owned by Present State Studio or its licensors. No license is granted except the limited right to use the app and website for their intended purpose.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, impersonate, misrepresent affiliation with, reverse engineer, or use the PauseMind or Present State Studio names, logos, or branding in a confusing or misleading way. Do not use these materials to create competing, deceptive, or unauthorized products or listings.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app or website, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use them in a way that violates applicable law.

Disclaimers

PauseMind is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim to keep it reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect detection, perfect app blocking, or compatibility with every device, Android version, manufacturer setting, or protected app.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Present State Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of PauseMind or this website, including your selection of protected apps, device settings, Android permissions, battery restrictions, operating system behavior, or inability to access an app during a pause.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms as PauseMind changes. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.
